What's Happening at The Rock December 17th

Pastor George Boyd will be speaking Sunday on The Gospel According to John “WANTED: True Worshipers”. The reading is John 4:23-24.
Prayer focus for this week – CARE MINISTRY: Pray for the ministry of the Deacons (Acts 6:2-4)
Children's ministry: Aaron & Thomas, Cara & Chelsey will be teaching on “Jesus’ Crucifixion and Ressurection”

Weekly Offering – Anyone wishing to make a donation to the Rock or wishing to give their offering other than by using their assigned envelope can use the method of e-transfer. Using e-transfer requires no preapproval by your financial institution and can be used as little or as often as you wish. If you have any questions please speak to Jeff M. or John O.
Help Needed: The Communications Ministry is looking for someone to look after our website. Please talk to Julie L. after the service for more information or if you're interested.
Church Rentals: Anybody that is wishing to use the church facility, or reserve a room for an event can be in contact with Susan E. to book a space.
Membership & Baptism: In order to become a member of the Rock or to be baptized at the Rock, a person must attend membership or baptism classes. If anyone is interested in taking membership or baptism classes, please speak to an elder.

The privilege of praying together: Our weekly worship prayer time is each Tuesday from 7 – 8 pm.
Christmas Presentation: The Sunday School Children will be performing their Christmas presentation on December 17th. Please have all children arrive at the church no later that 9:45 that day.
Care Offering: The Deacons would like to remind you of the upcoming Care offering on December 17th. The Rock is going to pledge what comes in from that offering to Teen Challenge Farm. Teen Challenge Farm is a group which has helped many men both locally and nationally. Please consider how God would have you help.
Carols of Christmas: All are welcome to join together at the Church on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 6:30 - 8 pm to sing the Carols of Christmas.
Christmas Eve Service: There will be a Christmas Eve service at The Rock on December 24th at 6:30pm. All are welcome!
Women’s Bible Study: Will be starting January 11th. They will be taking place on Thursday mornings from 9-11:30 and Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:30. We will be using Sue Edwards’ book 1 Peter - Discovering Encouragement in Troubling Times. Ladies are asked to purchase their own books in advance. Please look for Bible study sign-up sheets at the back of the church!
